I mostly build, sometimes advise, and occasionally write. I spent my first career in strategy consulting working with private equity funds and corporates. But it was always the product that made me most excited. Thats why I left to start a company and to take on the kinds of projects where I get to craft things.

I believe the most interesting ideas combine purpose and profit. I’m drawn to people who use their power and influence to make the world a better place. I prefer an entrepreneurial mindset where possible and can respect a corporate, if necessary. I am convinced that diverse teams produce better outcomes.

I like to build thinkgs, I like to do things for the long term, and I like to do my own thing.

Work

Kollab

Kollab is infrastructure for community commerce; we make collaborations between brands, creators, and their managements plug-and-play. I’m co-founder, leading product, design and ops.

The motivation runs deeper than the product. Most of what brands spend trying to reach communities ends up with giga ad platforms that have no real connection to those communities, instead of with the creators who built them. We want to redirect that flow. In an era when AI can manufacture everything else, an influencer is the last remaining human ad, and we’d like to get that right.

What fascinates me is the entrepreneurial side of being a creator. The shallow first impression most people get of an influencer almost always hides a deeply reflected person who’s walked through difficult chapters to be standing where they are. That inspires me. joinkollab.com →

Freelance Work

I take on freelance gigs on the side from time to time. Mostly strategic or commercial roles in tech companies, or finance-related work. A short excerpt:

  • Interim strategic finance lead & CFO chief-of-staff for a PE-backed tech scale-up: executed a workforce reduction (~80 FTEs), supported a €60m debt raise, cut financial reporting cycle from 20 days to 1
  • Reorganization of a €1bn-revenue business unit for a global payments leader: from-to matrix for ~500 employees and full new governance
  • Feasibility modeling for a PV solar farm, for a large real-estate developer
  • Series A business case modeling, for a renewable energy startup, raising €10m in equity
  • Corporate strategy for a €100m airlines payment business, for a global payment tech conglomerate

Off-Hours

Music

I am very passionate about electronic music, about groove, about community, and about sound. Going to raves since ~2006, I've had the privilege to dance the worlds most legendary clubs and dancefloors, and to listen to the worlds most legendary DJs. The patron saint of this site is Sven Väth, my lifelong inspiration. These days I'm mostly inspired by Berlin's ever changing sound, shapeshifting between genres and styles, break beat and hard techno, Panorama Bar and Berghain.

Politics

I will probably run for mayor of Berlin one day. I am 60% joking. My Wahlprogramm will be simple:

  1. Capitalism is the best system because it's the only system that has ever worked.
  2. Capitalism must be restricted and serve the people, because otherwise the people will kill the rich.
  3. Earth is the most beautiful planet in the universe, we must protect it at all costs.

My People

My closest friends are the most interesting people I know. I am deeply subscribed to their lives. They have made me the person who I am today. I will never take them for granted.
